WHO is "SOC"
Sailors on the Citizenship is a training course that aims to support the professional development of young trainers and youth workers that work within the non-formal education. We intend to raise the quality of projects concerning citizenship in general and we give a close focus on the European citizenship.  The whole idea behind the training course is to make citizenship SEXY to the youth by using various methods of work.

This website aims to provide you with the information concerning our approach to the citizenship education, offer you a "toolkit" on how to motivate youngsters for participation in their community and beyond. Moreover, here we will update you about the future events and the possibility to become as well the "Sailor on the CitizenShip".

The project has been funded within the funds of European Commision - Youth programe already 11 times in the Czech Republic (1 training course, 1 evaluation seminar, 1 large training course - xxl), Germany(twice), Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Turkey, Portugal and Northern Ireland.

Our training promotes its values and is as well closely tied up with the values and principles of the Council of Europe.

By conducting Sailors on the CitizenShip (SOC) we want to give the possibility to see that citizenship is not just a dry topic for politicians, but it is a issue that youngster can enjoy and be motivated to have an interest into it.
